Workshop plans progressing

Jenny Purrett is organising 2 workshops that will happen in Victoria Park on Saturday and Sunday of the trail. The artist Amanda Price will work with adults and children to construct a large scale sculptural piece using withys and living willow that will stay in the park beyond the weekend.

On Saturday 15th September, Art on the Hill will be running a windmill making workshop at the Victoria Park Action Group's Fun Day in Victoria Park. Do come along to support VPAG and to get a copy of the trail map.

Jane Lee is planning a workshop with pupils from St Mary Redcliffe Primary and Victoria Park Junior Schools in the weeks preceding the trail weekend. This will be based at St Michael’s Church and the workshop will focus on the theme of Michaelmas as the saints’ day of St Michael falls on 29th September.

Louise Brown and Dayna Stevens are planning workshops on Saturday and Sunday which will include print-making and baking. Finally, Sarah Falber is also planning workshops on both days of the weekend where you can try your hand at marbling on silk.

More details will be available at the beginning of September and will be found in the children’s section of this website, although adults will also be most welcome at the majority of the workshops.

If any Art on the Hill participant is planning other workshops or activities that children would enjoy, please let the organisers know.
