Willow Workshop in Victoria Park
Unfortunately our plans to create a large permanent sculpture in the park has been scuppered by our lack of knowledge of when to plant withies. Apparently it is too early in the season to plant living willow.
However, the new plan is just as exciting - Amanda Price will be running workshops to create large freestanding willow structures which will be displayed by hanging them from the trees in the park over the weekend.
If you fancy having a go at willow sculpture, then just turn up between 12.00-5.00 on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September. You may even be able to take your sculpture home with you at the end of the weekend.
