On Wednesday 16th February there was a meeting of the AOTH 2011 Committee. It was an excellent meeting and a lot of important plans were put in place for the coming year.
The most important event in the immediate future is the “Call For Artists” public meeting on Thursday 10th March at 6.45pm at The Victoria Park pub on Raymend Rd.
At this meeting, anybody who is interested in participating in any way in AOTH 2011 can come and talk to members of the committee and discuss what involvement you would like to have. However, if you cannot make this meeting, you can still participate by keeping an eye on this website, by contacting us directly or by filling in the online form.
Flyers for the public meeting and to advertise the “call for artists” will be coming through your letterbox in the next week or so. There are two deadlines for signing up to participate. The first – April 10th - is an “early bird” deadline with a reduced rate of £16. The second – May 10th – is the final deadline to sign up at a rate of £19.
In the light of last year's success, we are considering holding an auction of artworks a couple of weeks before the Trail, in mid September. Please watch the website for more information.
We are again planning to hold workshops for anyone coming to the trail to join.
If anyone has any ideas for other events, please contact the committee – especially if youcan put some time into organising your idea.
One of the main events of the Trail is the musical performance at St Michael's church. This needs a lot of forward planning so we have already set the dates for AOTH 2012, which will take place on the weekend of 6th/7th October 2012.
